Abuela's Garden by Ingrid

One thing I like about summer is that my birthday is in summer. I like to swim in the summer and so does my dog. When I go inside and come out my dog is already in the swimming pool.

The second thing I love about summer is to help my mom and my Abuela (Grandma) with the garden. In the summer, we always grow new flowers. Some of the flowers are purple, pink, yellow, and my favorites are Daisies.

The garden is at my Abuela’s house. We also grow cucumbers, tomatoes, and chilies. I like to do gymnastics in my Abuela’s garden. I love to practice. It’s fun and peaceful fun.

When I go outside in the spring and summer, it smells like fresh flowers and I enjoy the relaxing smells of nature. That’s what I like about summer.

Laila - My favorite hobby

Swimming is one of my hobbies. I like swimming because it’s one of the sports that I am good at. My schoolteachers taught me how to swim when I was five. Diving feels a little bit weird because when the water splashes on me, it feels ticklish, but still I love diving from the platform. I like to swim underwater because it is fun to look underwater with your eyes open.

One of the things I like to do when I am underwater is sitting on the ground and holding hands with my friends. We like to make bubbles out of our mouth. Another thing I like to do is pulling my friends legs from underwater. They laugh and chase after me.

Aun - Toy of the past

My favorite toy was a Batman action figure when I was younger. I got from Al Fatah in Pakistan. It was special because Batman is my favorite superhero.
       Batman is a really good fighter because he is third degree black belt in Kung Fu and can do a dragon kick.  He also has a really awesome costume with a mask, so no one can see his face. The costume totally looks like a bat. Batman’s costume is black and black is my favorite color. My Batman’s costume is made of metal and his mask can open automatically.
     Batman had wings to fly. He had a freeze bomb and a concussion bomb. He also had a Batrang to throw at his enemies. He also had his own car called the Batmobile and it had some cool features in it. For example, it had an engine boost, laser shots, etc.
